Pinot Noir - a Delicate Balance

Pinot Noir is often referred to as the most feminine of the varieties. Meaning I suppose that it has more delicacy and refinement than Cabernet or Merlot and implying that these are masculine brutes that need to be tamed and restrained in civilized company.
